Introducing Cos4Cloud – ECSA & EU-Citizen.Science webinar #9

Created Oct. 26, 2021, 12:21 a.m.
Updated Dec. 15, 2023, 4:26 p.m.

One of the biggest challenges of citizen science is the quality of data, as well as maintaining the citizen observatories used to collect this data. The Cos4Cloud (Co-designed citizen observatories for the EOS-Cloud) project is addressing these challenges by developing ten technological services to improve citizen science platforms, also known as citizen observatories, to help them boost the quantity and the quality of observations and, finally, to help ensure their long-term viability. In this webinar, members of the Cos4Cloud consortium share the project’s progress so far. First, Karen Soacha and Jaume Piera, coordinators of Cos4Cloud project, will explain what Cos4Cloud is about and its main objectives. Afterwards, Alexis Joly and Santiago Martinez will give a presentation on the some of the services that they are developing. The event closes with an open discussion.
