Cities at night

The Didactic Unit that we present in these pages is a proposal to work on the classroom with third and fourth year students secondary, the location of sources of the light pollution through the project of citizen science Cities at night https://citiesatnight.org/

We present general content on light pollution, its types and the negative effects of lighting nocturnal artificial, to explain later the most efficient way to install fonts lighting that minimizes these effects.

Later we present the project Cities at night, their objectives and their relationship with citizen science, along with some activities suggested that adapt to the level of the student body.

Finally, some links are indicated for expand information, both for teachers as for the students.

We intend to present some content that can be implemented in the classroom, and a guide for both students and teachers can participate in this project citizen science.
