CommuniMap invites you to see your local area through fresh eyes - by tuning in to nature, movement, and the daily rhythms that shape your surroundings. Whether you’re walking, wheeling, noticing local trees, or composting at home or elsewhere, CommuniMap, developed by the SPOTTERON Citizen Science Platform, provides a space to reflect on what you see and share your observations, contributing to a vibrant community map.
Developed by the GALLANT project at the University of Glasgow, CommuniMap is currently being piloted in collaboration with local groups, schools, and residents throughout Glasgow. The App is designed to be flexible, inclusive, and adaptable, making it accessible for communities anywhere, interested in exploring their environments collectively.
Aim
CommuniMap isn't just about data collection - it’s about paying attention, reflecting together, and adding your perspective. Everyone’s observations - no matter how small - help build a bigger picture of how people and places are changing.
CommuniMap is rooted in Glasgow, yet it's designed for anyone curious about their community to contribute.
