Projects in more than one country

Projects in more than one country

  By: Katharina Dehnen-Schmutz on Sept. 9, 2020, 7:48 a.m.

Hello, I am co-ordinating Plant Alert, which is a project to report potentially invasive ornamental plants from gardens and is run in Great Britain and Ireland. How can I add more than one country to the project description so the project appears if people search for projects in Ireland as well as in the UK?
Thanks, Katharina

Thanks for your question Katharina, this has been a frustration for many project owners. With this release we have included a 'Geographic Extent' field, where you can indicate how far your project reaches, and a 'Project locality' field where you can describe the types of locations that participants engage in the task (for example if it's their backyard, or the coast, or any open nature area, etc).

We have a new functionality in the pipeline to allow you to select multiple- countries for your projects, but it requires more editing at the back end to ensure that it works with the Country filter, so we're hoping to release that over the coming weeks.

It is high on our list!

In the meantime, you can also explicitly state that the project operates in both countries in your descriptive text.
