Hello I would like to let you all know that IMPETUS is looking for new members to join our citizen panel to help us shape our next IMPETUS citizen science accelerator programme and the European Prize for Citizen Science. If you’re passionate about citizen science and want to help shape projects that drive real change across Europe, this is your opportunity to make a difference. Whether you’re new to the field or already profoundly engaged, your voice and insights could play a key role in shaping the future of citizen science. Participation is entirely voluntary. We seek individuals passionate about citizen science and community engagement who can commit to dedicating one or two hours per week to IMPETUS panel activities during October and November. The panel meets online, and we anticipate it being active for at least one more year, though members can step down at any time. The panel’s working language is English. As a panel member, you’ll work directly with the IMPETUS consortium to: ✅ Define Future Challenges: You will play a key role in setting the challenges for our open accelerator calls, which support innovative citizen science projects. Your insights will guide the focus of these calls and help decide which initiatives receive funding. ✅ Contribute to the EU Prize for Citizen Science: Help nominate and evaluate exceptional projects for this prestigious prize, ensuring groundbreaking initiatives are recognized. ✅ Amplify Citizen Science Across Europe: Help spread awareness of IMPETUS and the potential of citizen science to drive innovation and community engagement. Perks of Joining the Panel: 👩‍🏫 Access to the IMPETUS accelerator training program. 🎉 A complimentary pass to the renowned Ars Electronica Festival in Linz, Austria. 💻 Recognition on the IMPETUS website, featuring your profile as a panel member. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 The opportunity to shape which citizen science projects receive crucial support and resources. ⏳ The deadline is Friday 20th, at Noon CEST! Don’t miss your chance—apply now and be part of this exciting movement.
