Cultural research and citizen science

This issue of the review Culture et Recherche of the French Ministry of Culture presents the reflections resulting from the work of the Particip-Arc network, which brings together actors promoting participatory approaches within cultural research. The fruitfulness of their exchanges led to the construction of a shared vision of the benefits and goals of participatory research. As a counterpoint, contributions from citizens involved in participatory projects echo the researchers' reflections. Contributions from national actors involved in participatory science shed a broader light on the challenges of citizen participation for knowledge development and citizen empowerment.
