The Foundations of Citizen Science module (available in English and Spanish) will help you learn the basics, participate in projects, and make the most of SciStarter. (Librarians: upon completion of this module, you will be eligible to move onto the second hour of training and earn professional development credits from the Medical Library Association. Details available upon completion of this module.)

Completion of this multimedia module takes approximately one hour.

With support from the National Library of Medicine, SciStarter assembled a team with expertise in instructional design, education, inclusive practices, digital design, micro accreditation, and, of course, citizen science to produce a tutorial and accompanying module to help people from all walks of life engage in science and bring citizen science to new communities.

Use these resources to introduce the Foundations of Citizen Science to your friends, students, family and more!
