Empowerment through co-designed Citizen Science in education

This free course provides insights into how citizen science may empower participants and favour democracy. It also shows practical ways of including citizen science in higher education programmes in order to instil citizen science as a common use in professional research and development activities.

After this module, the learner is expected to be able to: (1) identify different levels of integration of participants in Citizen Science, (2) reflect on the associated benefits to empower them, and (3) engage students in science and train them for their future professional and personal lives.
