The Open Science movement is gaining ground. Whereas a few years ago we were only talking about open access (2002, Budapest Open Access Initiative), today we are talking about open science all over the world, of which open access is only one part. At the 2021 annual LIBER1 (Association of European Research Libraries) conference in 2021, 55% of the presentations and workshops were related to open science. The plenary presentations also presented new opportunities in the field of open science. The Citizen Science working committee formed at the 2019 conference also presented the results of the work during the previous two years on Citizen Science in specialised libraries and university libraries, and the role and opportunities of libraries, colleges and universities in Citizen Science, and the good work they are doing in this field, and opportunities for libraries in Citizen Science.
