More than 40 participants took part in the first open online meeting for the preparation of the Declaration for the conference “Knowledge for Change: A decade of citizen science (2020-2030) in support of the SDGs”. The meeting started with a thematic input from Anne Kathrine Overgaard and Thomas Kaarsted about the necessary connection between Citizen Science and the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations (SDGs). Then, Professor Alexander Gerber spoke about his experience with the Declaration "Pathways to transformation" and gave valuable input focussing on lessons learned. Afterwards, participants discussed in four groups and developed first proposals, ideas and wishes for the declaration. These ideas are presented at the end.
