Created by Ecsite, the network of science engagement organisations (, Workrooms provide science engagement professionals with a short series of online talks, group discussions and workshops, and even some offline preparation, all centred around one specific theme; an opportunity for participants to broaden knowledge together. The citizen science workroom has been organised by the EU-Citizen.Science project.

For the first session of the EU-Citizen.Science workroom on the impacts of citizen science, different speakers shared inspiring stories of citizen science projects that have achieved a real impact.

We invite you to listen to our keynote speaker, Anne Bowser: Dr. Anne Bowser is a citizen science innovator. She is also the Director of Innovation at the Wilson Center, Washington, DC. Her work investigates the intersections between science, technology and democracy. Her work explores the challenge of how to make science better, and how to make technology more equitable.
