Research insight on RRI indicators that reflect the practice of public engagement organisations

Large-scale initiatives such as the UN’s Citizen Science Global Partnership to meet Sustainability Development Goals demonstrate a heightened policy interest in engaging society. At the European Commission (EC) this interest is exemplified by the strategic orientations of the Science with and for Society (SwafS) work programme 2018-2020, which include “Exploring and supporting citizen science”. The paper reviews RRI monitoring indicators and their application when it comes to public engagement.
