STRATUM

Active

from 01/12/2023 until 30/11/2028

STRATUM will develop a 3D Decision Support Tool for brain surgery guidance and diagnostics (reaching TRL7) based on multimodal data processing using Artificial Intelligence (AI) algorithms, integrated as an energy-efficient Point-of-Care computing tool.

The system will be developed following a co-creation methodology involving key stakeholders and end-users. STRATUM will pursue the following objectives:

  • To foster advances in personalised medicine
  • To increase the intraoperative diagnostic accuracy
  • To reduce surgery time
  • To improve cost- and energy-efficiency of surgery
  • To clinically demonstrate the STRATUM prototype
  • To prepare the business plan and the TRL9 roadmap

Aim

The co-creation phase of the STRATUM tool is an ongoing process and its aim is to incorporate the user perspective in all phases of the STRATUM design to ensure that their expectations, preferences and user needs are considered. Neurosurgeons and other stakeholders are involved in workshops for the design, development and testing of the STRATUM tool.
