The consortium aims to develop new medicines and test New Approach's in silico proposal, which includes drugs and nutraceuticals. The Fernando Pessoa Foundation will conduct the in vitro and in vivo tests.
Unlike traditional methods, the New Approach methodology can handle more attributes than entities, creating target-specific models with high accuracy, even for imbalanced datasets. This enables efficient drug repurposing without complex AI infrastructure. It significantly reduces costs and development time, achieving 25% budget savings compared to other repurposing methods while using standard computers.
