Research Center on Multilingualism, Discourse and Communication (MIRCo), Universidad Autonoma de Madrid
MIRCo-UAM is an international center for interdisciplinary research focused on multilingualism, linguistic policies, ideologies, and practices, and social change. We apply citizens science strategies in ethnographic fieldwork to gather discourses and linguistic landscapes on urban transformations and conflicts - for instance, in the framework of the Spanish R+D+i project "Critical linguistic awareness and speaker agency: Action-research for sociolinguistic equity" - EquiLing (PID2019-105676RB-C41) and the H202-RISE project "From Contested Territories to alternatives of development: Learning from Latin America" (grant # 873082)
