EU-Citizen.Science is introducing the #MonthOfTheProjects in June 2021.

The EU-Citizen.Science platform is created by the community and for the community. We want to celebrate this, engage with new audiences and give back to you, the community on the platform!

What are we planning for the month of June?

The “Month of the projects” will run throughout the whole month. We are inviting every citizen science practitioner to upload their project on the platform. At the beginning of July, we will randomly select three winners among the projects submitted and approved during June that will receive a “spotlight prize”: We will organise a webinar where the winners can present their citizen science projects and we will share the winning projects through social media and in a blog post.

How can you participate?

You have to submit a citizen science project that is not already on the platform. To do this, you need to have an account on EU-Citizen.Science first and then add a project by clicking on the green “+” button at the top right of the website.

All projects submitted to the platform go through a moderation process. If your project is not yet on the platform and has been approved after going through moderation, you will enter the contest provided you have agreed to it first by checking a box in the ‘add’ form.

The winning projects will be selected at random. We will use a digital tool to randomly pick the three projects. For this, we will enter the number of the project profile or the URL of the profile (we will not use platform user names, project names or any email address).

Once the three winning projects have been selected, we will contact the submitter of the projects via the email addresses from which the projects were submitted to organise the webinar.

We wish you luck and look forward to many new citizen science project submissions!
