How to do research with people from outside academia – Webinar

This webinar was organized by Museum für Naturkunde Berlin (MfN) in cooperation with Wikimedia Germany as part of the Fellow Programm Freies Wissen 2017/18. This is an introductory webinar on the topic of Citizen Science departing from the question “How to do research with people from outside academia?”. After a brief introduction to Citizen Science and where it can be situated in the context of Open Science by Claudia Göbel from MfN and ECSA, Alexandra Albert and Mirela Alistar share their experiences from social science and bio science research. David Ziegler, editor at the German platform bürgerschaffenwissen.de, then gives an overview of the CS landscape in Germany and where to find further resources. The webinar closes with a discussion.
