Bridging the knowledge gap between Science and Society

REINFORCE (Research Infrastructures FOR citizens in Europe) brings together 11 partners coordinated by the European Gravitational Observatory with the aim of creating a series of cutting-edge citizen science projects on frontier Physics research. The research domains that will be developed will be Gravitational Wave Astronomy, Neutrino Astronomy, High Energy Physics, and Cosmic Ray Physics. The project will rely on Zooniverse platform to involve citizen in making a genuine and valued contribution to managing the data avalanche.

Reinforce team

REINFORCE aims to engage more than 100,000 citizens in the research done in Large Research Infrastructures through a participatory design methodology that will take into account the special characteristics of different target groups, their barriers and constrains, their perceptions and biases and their attitudes and knowledge regarding science.

The REINFORCE project is funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 Programme, through Grant Agreement No 872859.
