Newsletter #3: Inclusion in Citizen Science

Our third newsletter is out!

After our last issue on pollution, we chose to focus this third newsletter on a highly relevant topic for the science at large including citizen science: Inclusion.

This topic being so broad and diverse, we decided that one article wouldn’t be enough to even start understanding what inclusion actually means and implies. This is why we are launching a whole series of interviews, to understand how inclusive is the citizen science field at the moment and how this situation could be improved.

We started by asking Emily Dawson, Associate Professor in the Department of Science and Technology Studies at University College London, her reasons for why this fight against exclusion and inequality should be a priority in every science engagement initiative.

Two other interviews are in the pipeline and will be published on the two following Mondays, stay tuned!

You will also find news from 10 ongoing projects: ACTION, CitieS-Health, CoAct, CS Track, D-NOSES, EnviroCitizen, MICS, REINFORCE and WeCount.
